At this stage of the process towards setting the UN development agenda for 2015-2030 it would be interesting to get a broad input from people around the world on what integrated indicators we can set that will increase natural capital and at the same time decrease inequality both within nations and between nations.
I think we need to push for the integration of non-monetary indicators, a dashboard of up to 20 indicators, which will give an idea to the UN and the international community of how countries are managing to achieve the type of well-being based development we need in the 21st century. But my take is that we have to agree on a common stance against monetary indicators, in order to make a strong case for the definition of a key set of quantitative measurements (e.g. footprints, time management, decent work, etc.).
